Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield spent much of 2018 reckoning with these questions and revisiting her roots for answers. The result is Saint Cloud, an intimate journey through the places she’s been, filled with the people she’s loved.

Brighton's Wax Machine are a band so steeped in the kernel of psychedelic seep that there's every indication they may have slipped through a side door in space-time and sprouted anew a few years back on the UK coast. On Earthsong of Silence, their eclecticism incorporates Spiritual Jazz, Krautrock, Tropicália and Library Music, borrowing from dreams and trances to give life to a psychedelic experience that feels hauntingly familiar, yet strikingly new. They pick up right where their last EP's title track, 'Mind Palace,' left them 'growing into the mossy eiderdown of the English countryside, delightfully dosed and drenched in the sun that filters through the trees. The flutes, wandering guitars, and jazz touches come rising through the mists with a guiding hand from Kikagaku Moyo's Go Kurasawa behind the boards. With Earthsong, they add a new dimension to their sound, further exploring both their English psych-folk roots and mining a deeper appreciation for a West Coast sound dipped in sun, peace and serenity.
Deap Lips is Wayne & Steven from THE FLAMING LIPS with Julie & Lindsey from DEAP VALLY. This special collaboration came together after a friendship formed between the bands. It will hit stores on CD and LP via Cooking Vinyl on 3/13.
"Porches is my love affair with music'Music keeps me alive and I hope that by continuing to make and release it, I can make some people laugh, cry, fall in love, lose their shit, smile, run around, and most importantly, help them to feel alive for a brief moment. ' Aaron Maine Porches, the recording project of Aaron Maine, has returned with new album Ricky Music, a follow up to 2018's The House. Written and recorded between Maine's New York apartment and Jacob Portrait's Greenpoint studio, Ricky Music sees Maine experimenting with new productions techniques, imparting a more amorphous sound, while embracing a collaborative spirit, teaming up with a wide range of creators and friends ' Mitski (vocals on 'Madonna'), Zsela (backing vocals on 'Fuck_3'), Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) (backing vocals on 'rangerover' & 'Fuck_3'), Peter Maine (backing vocals on 'Wrote Some Songs'), among others. Ricky Music was written by Aaron Maine, except 'Patience,' which was written by Maine and Devault. The album was produced by Maine, co-produced by Jake Portrait, and engineered by both Maine and Portrait. Portrait also mixed the album, except 'rangerover' and 'Do U Wanna' which were mixed by James Krausse. The album was mastered by Heba Kadry."

Grouplove kicked off 2020 with their anarchistic, high-energy new single “Deleter,” and show no signs of slowing down in the lead-up to their fourth studio album HEALER – out March 13th via Canvasback/Atlantic Records. The Los Angeles based five-piece has spent the past two years writing and recording their most visceral and cathartic songs to date, all while experiencing and bearing witness to a great deal of change, trauma, and growth. From recording in El Paso within eyeshot of the border during the height of the family separation crisis, to brain surgery for frontwoman Hannah Hooper, to immersing themselves in new creative spaces with producers Dave Sitek and Malay – their new album represents a re-birth and a full-circle return to their initial idealism.

It extends moments out of their seemingly explored catalog & breathes new life into them. In stores 3/13 via Mexican Summer.
Here comes SUPERSTAR the bigger, badder, glitter-driven record by Caroline Rose. Written as a sequel to 2018's LONER, the forthcoming 2020 release 'plays out like an epic movie about the pursuit of fame and fortune,' Rose states. My Dying Bride formed in the dying summer of 1990 by vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe and guitarist Andrew Craighan. Recognized as the kings of doom-death, their albums Turn Loose the Swans (1993), The Angel and the Dark River (1995), Like Gods of the Sun (1996), 34.788%... Complete (1997), The Dreadful Hours (2001), and A Map of All Our Failures (2012) weren’t merely hour-plus long slabs of suffering but calendar moments, where desolation, sorrow, and all things blue (in dirge form) were passionately trumpeted and celebrated by fans absolutely devoted. My Dying Bride albums became life events for the low spirited and downhearted. Indeed, few bands in the ‘90s sounded like the Brits.
The band’s new album The Ghost of Orion, their fourteenth to date, was written in isolation by Craighan. The guitarist had nobody off which to soundboard. And certainly not his long-time writing partner in Stainthorpe, who was entirely ensconced in providing mental and physical reinforcements to his daughter’s battle with cancer during that time. Alone, Craighan unfurled a litany of killer songs in “Your Broken Shore,” “To Outlive the Gods,” “But Once Black” (featuring Lindy-Fay Hella of Wardruna fame), “A Secret Kiss,” and “The Old Earth.” The rest, as they say, is history.

For Sophie Allison, aka Soccer Mommy, color theory confronts the ongoing mental health and familial trials that have long-plagued her, presenting listeners with an uncompromisingly honest self-portrait. The new album’s sonic landscape is vast and dexterous, with melodies that shimmer on the surface, but reveal an unsettling darkness with each listen.Indie exclusive LP; pressed on a mix of yellow, grey & blue vinyl.
As we age, we face obstacles that are beyond our control. Some forces are internal: insecurity, anxiety, fear. Some are external: the loss of loved ones, an unjust system and the fragility of time. Yet the mark of maturity is how you respond when you realize you’re not in control. Where do you find your resilience?
This album is a reflection of us coming to terms with how to find our power in the face of an unfair world. These songs lead listeners past “where happy man searches, to a place only mad women know.” We question our purpose, our relationships, our faith. Trading the fears of our youth for the dread that rages within us as mature women.
With SATURN RETURN, our hope is that women can feel less alone in their journey through the modern world. We need each other more than we ever have; the less competition and the more inclusiveness and understanding, the better. We are southern women in the 21st century, convicted by our beliefs.

Over the last decade, Real Estate have crafted warm yet meticulous pop-minded music, specializing in soaring melodies that are sentimentally evocative and unmistakably their own. The Main Thing dives further into the musical dichotomies they're known for'lilting, bright guitar lines set against emotionally nuanced lyrics, complex arrangements conveyed breezily. What emerges is a superlative collection of interrogative songs as full of depth, strangeness and contradictions as they are lifting hooks.

Grimes started producing music when she had to learn the program Logic for her neuroscience class. Shortly thereafter she had a viral myspace page, which allowed her to start booking shows and focus full-time on music. She lived in a crack den in Montreal with no heat (where she got frostbite twice and her neighbor was bludgeoned to death in the hallway), playing raves until her 2012 breakout, Visions, which was recorded during a 2 week speed binge wherein she did not leave her bedroom. Upon the success of this album, Grimes attempted to enter society as a regular human, which has clearly not gone super well but has nonetheless been entertaining. She’s since become an award winning music video director as well as a music writer, producer, engineer, singer-songwriter. She’s toured globally to sold out crowds, headlined festivals, and is now moving into the space of corporate surrealism. She recently had experimental eye surgery only available to the upper class. She is putting out her final earth album February 21st 2020.
